A post full of cutery (because that's my new word)

So this is a blog post full of cute stuff. No substance, just eternal cuteness.
Inspired by my favorite blog of all time, Posie Gets Cozy (which I encourage all of you to read, it is, honestly, one the most delightful, insightful and just plain beautiful writings this side of the cybernetic world), Miss Posie (not her real name) posted a picture of a very nifty idea she applied to one of her walls. For a while now, I have been toying with the idea of creating "fabric paintings", sewing layers and layers of swatches of fabric, embroidered, top stitched, beaded, sequined, drawn, stamped, all to create a unique little work of art that, if handed a megaphone, would totally scream AMY!! Really loud. And with a charming Southerican accent. So I started small with this embroidery hoop. Before I leave Savannah (sooooon) I want to create a few more of these.

But also, I have some fabrics that I love too much, so I framed this gorgeous upholstery piece right here.

Oh Alexander Henry, how I love you. Even though my wallet ached at seeing the $9.99 per yard price tag, my heart could not resist this lemony beauty! Not even sure if I should even use this fabric. I think it would be too much awesomeness.
And my sweet sweet birdies modeling their latest fashion. Eeeep!

I told y'all this post would contain highly illegal doses of Cuteness.

Dear Miss Amy....I came across your blog randomly through plain mabel and fell in love with everything pictured on your page. Since then, I've followed (in the not-creepy way) your doings through your blog, and I have to tell you, I think you're fabulous, because I think we may be close to being the same person. I would also like to note that I love your taste: to date we own the exact same $1.00 Target pink piggy bank, the same silver embroidered Report flats, and I just made an apron top with that same Alexander Henry print fabric. (with yellow/white ginham and big yellow buttons) You're also hilarious, and seeing the stuff you had for sale inspired me to quit giving my handmade stuff to relatives as gifts, but to start listing it to try and sell beautiful things to the world. So thanks for putting yourself out there in the world, unwittingly inspiring a little artisan/crafter in Utah. You're rad as crap, love.
