Gratitude: pretty flowers in the Spring/ Sunnyside neighborhood
There is no better cure for the blues than to go out for a nice walk on an unusually sunny day and come upon pretty Spring flowers in bloom. The Sunnyside neighborhood in SE Portland provided many :)

I love photographing the beautiful homes of Portland. It reminds me to work even harder at what I do. One day I'll have my own space to decorate as I please.

Image on left is from Mount Tabor, not the Sunnyside neighborhood. It's darling.
Walking down on 33rd, I realized I was just steps away from St Cupcakes! So I got me a little cupcake, then had a delicious split-pea soup at Opposable Thumb. I usually avoid spending $4.50 on a soup, but the foccacia bread served with it was worth the $4.50 alone. So kudos to them.

Great photos! I love St Cupcakes but it is totally against my religion (aka my diet). I'm eating lunch at the Laughing Planet Cafe and it will take all of my will power to not walk down and pick up a cupcake or two.

So beautiful!! You are making me want to move to Portland even more! I can't believe you have flowers blooming there already. I'm so jealous. Today I woke up to snow!! And then I saw my first robin of the year, which made me sad. I am always so excited when I see my first robin of the year and this one appears with snow! Boo!

These are beautiful photographs, putting me in your space. We love Portland...the Pacific Northwest, actually. Here in Michigan we are just starting to see buds and the hint of tulips:). Soon!!!!! Thank you for sharing.
